Was created by photographer Jim Curry in 1975,when I was
15. I started taking photos of vacations and such. I am
a nature lover and loved preserving it in photos for all
to view. Soon I was photographing anything and
everything; the digital age was not yet upon us, at that
time I was using a 35-mm camera. Through the years as
digital technology developed so did my love of
photography. In the middle 1980’s I lived in Colorado
and photographed nature in the Rocky Mountains and I
came up with the idea of Jimi-Flix a photography studio.
I never pursued it any farther than that, just an idea.
Again as digital technology advanced I began to toy with
the idea. In 2004 I began to record music for musicians
in a studio, and very soon I was producing music videos
for them, and again the Jimi-Flix idea was back in my
head. Since then I have captured some unique photos of
nature and musicians creating and performing the art of
music. I too create music and play guitar. I have
produced many music and nature videos. Capturing a
devastating flood on video and setting to music is one.
I have enjoyed it all and hope you do too. I have
participated in many contests including National
Geographic and Cannon.
Now my dream has finally come true. Thanks to the
Internet, I can share my love of photography, video and
mixing of audio (Hence the name Pix, Flix and Mix.) with
others who also love it.
